I present to you my pre-school essay entitled: My Parrot Tango

My parrot is green in colour and is utterly adorable. He has a very special temperament and likes to bite people, especially Bjorn. Yesterday, my dad found out he has gotten the flu bug. Tango had mucus coming out of his nose, very unbecoming of a parrot.

Tango also gets angry when we dont give him a share of what we're eating. I believe that he is also abit short sighted because he misses the breadcrumb when I put it infront of his face. This morning, he choked on the breadcrumb and started coughing. I thought that was pretty cute of him.

Anyway, Tango is feeling much better now (absence of mucus) although he hasnt gotten his appetite back yet.

Reading the post dated 4th January 2009, i realise life isn't all that different. But i feel like the person who wrote that is no longer me. I still have the same aspirations and the same dreams and the same favourites, but something is missing. Something like LIFE. I feel like i've got no life. Which is not totally untrue considering the school work. But, i feel like i've got time for so many other things. I gobble novels down like cereal and still manage to spend time with Michael and my friends. So whats missing?

Is it something different? Or maybe like, i need something new in life. Is it stress? Or is it just boredom. Everyday feels the same, but then again i ask myself, with such a peaceful life why look for adventures that might unknowingly lead to mishaps and troubles.

I dont know what is wrong, but something is odd. I really can't pinpoint it, i feel like my happiness just went from 99% to 9%. The 90% just vanished into thin air, or you could say, had been absorbed by someone else. I really do not know.

When i see people, i'm afraid to talk. I feel like i've run out of things to say, i dont like meeting groups of people. I feel so distant from my old friends. I wonder if i just turned anti-social. Sigh.

Yup , i haven't blog for a long time, about 5 months you could say. I even have a livejournal account, and i dont use it either. See? Something's wrong. I don't know if its paranoia.

And guessed what, i just sorta drifted off to facebook in the middle of this.

And i was suppose to be bathing before i felt like doing this.

So many things happened across the past couple of weeks. So this is going to be a really really long post. Making up for the hiatus. Here goes, a couple of events, not in complete detail however, and also not in chronological order.

This is one of those times where, i really must pen everything down. Because i dont want to forget all these in a couple of years down the road. I really dont. This is one of the best times of my life. So far. Seriously.

Well for one, promos are over and we've gotten back our results. I can say, i'm pretty satisfied with it.

Secondly, prom planning is full steam ahead but currently lagging from the logistics end. Which, is always the problem.

I've met the perfect people, the perfect friends. Not going to let anyone go. Oh, Glenn and Nicole's 7th month a couple of days back and counting. My mom thinks they're cute.

Ah yes, there was a major major gathering at Serangoon yesterday. Ok maybe not that major since 2 people were missing from all the action. Anyway, there was, Joyce, Fabian, Glenn, Nicole, Kuma, Kesaven, Bjorn, Nathalie, and Michael. All for the food at the pasamalam. Yes, pasamalam. Ha. Then, everyone came over for some Gwen's friends-Gwen's mother bonding time. That was really funny. And for a moment or two, all of us were watching elephants on Animal Planet with my mom as well. I can't believe you guys. Bjorn stayed back till midnight after all the rest had left, and we watched GOSSIP GIRLS!! With cotton candy:D Oh oh! We played poker too, since my house didn't have chips. We gambled with WATER. Can you believe it?! Haha i think it was Bjorn's idea. Crazy crap.

Did i mention, i had one of the nicest turn-up surprise ever yesterday too Michael? I can't believe you guys. Well, it really did made me happy:)

OP's in full swing too, but since there was only Wilson and I, we kinda finished our preparation way ahead of everybody. Me and my kiasu-ness because it was only the both of us then and i was panicking, especially since my OP is on the first time slot of the first day. But looking on the bright side, it'll be over really soon. That was because, Christopher went off for the Commonwealth Games for shooting, came back a SILVER MEDALIST! Out of that many countries?!? - I'm happy for him:) Now all we have to do is practise our individual presentation. So relieved.

OUR CLASS WON BEST CLASS AWARD, announced during our EOY ceremony! Can't believe it! I'm so proud of our class. Really really am. I love you guys. So much. I'm SO HAPPY! Took a picture, I dont exactly have the picture of us, with that really big hamper. I'll put it up as soon as i get hold of it. Which means, almost forever. But dont worry, soon soon. When the MC mentioned 'half the people in class donated blood' and 'this class is also value-added', most of us thought there wasn't much hope left. Till she said 'half the class are also CCA leaders..' then we were like, ok might be us might be us. Lets pray. :D

After sending Angie off at the airport (She's studying in Canada now :( ), Kriffith, Kesaven, Glenn and I went back home. Glenn spotted this on the billboard. For the first time in my entire life, i've got my name up somewhere. Well, yeah i know that probably doesn't look like me, but its my name afterall!

That night, after Angie left. We suprised Kuma. Like, whoa. Suprise can. He said he kinda knew, but actually.. i dont really have any idea. Ok whatever, we dropped by his place. The photos are in the camera which i'm too lazy to upload. But we spray painted his name on a computer bag carrying a gay shade of purple. I made the stencil. (Credits please :p) We played Mosquito with two decks of cards. It was hilarious. Left slightly earlier than the rest, Mike had a curfew, sent him home in a cab.

I tried doing springcleaning in the SCC on Thursday, didn't really make much difference from what you see below, but well its cleaner. Besides the fact that Joshua Chan, swept the floor out of goodwill, and mopped it using the bucket of water that Moon and I were drowning the mean and nasty ants that invaded the room earlier that day. He practically laid all the drowned ants across the floor. We all had a good laugh about it and decided to let the ants rest in peace in their newly found burial spot. So.. this is it. The SA Room (also the biggest, and the common room), the CI Room, and CA's Room.

Ok today, accompanied Michael to Delta at Redhill in the afternoon for his hockey match, after having brunch with Bjorn, Joyce and Nathalie, Michael included. Spent the 1.5hour playing mobile games and reading this advertising book called 'It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be' by Paul Arden while he plays. Back home now, using the laptop with my main computer still down with the spoilt keyboard syndrome :(

Last Wednesday, we went to Pulau Tekong too, I'm sorry if i spelt it wrongly but i have really no idea. Visited the BMTC. Boy am i glad i'm not a guy. Anyway, that was one nice evening. Really nice evening :) Ok check out Bjorn and Megan, both the Fencing captains from our class.

Right there you go, if you actually made it this far, that was a brief summary of the past few weeks. Mmmm, i hope i'll never forget any of these ever.

OMG OMG the holidays pass like, astronautically fast. Like, helium balloons floating into the sky x 10 million times. Promos are coming, prom planning is up in action, time to kick start my engine or i'm going to lose this 'rat race'.

Mission #1 (not suppose to forget while surviving in this chunk of mess called life): 5 good deeds a day, and maybe one day, i'll truly understand, giving to others is most precious when it is done quietly and selflessly. And know that i'm blessed because i am able to do that.

Now that, is altruistic love. And that is what everyone in this world should work towards, then this world will become a better place. Everyone should give kindness a chance, its not like pity you know. And when they help others, they will help themselves too. Then the world would be a happier place for everyone.

Hello, my internet's down back at home. I took a spaceship to Mars so that i can make use of their free internet. I'm am so cheapo. I brought Hueysi and Michael along to Mars as well, they're studying with me. Right now, Michael is feeling the rain on his skin (emotional creature) and Hueysi is pooping back in the toilet cubicle. And the rain, it's beating down on the tentage like small stones, the weather feels so bitter with just that tad little bit of rage. The camwhores of Racial Harmony Day, we're all haps. This is like how we roll, even if its in shit, we're still the epitome of awesomest.

There was the National Youth Environmental Conference today. During presentations, Mike looked like a pimp, the 'yes-i-have-gender-confusion-issues-i-can't-decided-between-a-girl-or-a-boy" kind because Kuma and I were using his shoulders as pillows and bolsters. You should have been there, we look psychotic.

Just another update, installation was over last Tuesday. Fatigue is sinking in like a steel ball in mercury. Proposals, meetings, EOM, WR, tests, CAs, on contrary to popular belief, i can so effing cope! Ha yeah right. It was an absofantabulastically wonderful day today. We watched Kungfu Panda, and it really wasn't that bad. For one, Joyce laughed till she had to go toilet cos she almost peed in her pants. Pre U seminar was the bomb.

Anyway, day 1:
Megan, Sharidan, Poxian, Gwen, Tim were together in block 63.
We all decided to drop everyone off one by one, i was the last.
Everyone had room mates and double rooms.
Except me, should have seen my face when i unlocked my door.
I dragged my king koil mattress 4 doors down to Alvina's room.
Slept with her, but i left the rest of my stuff in my room.
Look at my barren room in the pictures.
So empty and scary.
I left my lights on throughout the entire camp.

Besides that, Pre U sem was a blast but i hate the morning rituals, with the parallel presentations and panel discussions.

CJC Dance Night was good too, its almost back to my old life.

I am seriously talking COCK (Huina thinks saying COCK is prohibited, but i just proved her wrong before Narnia when there was an advert on Hancock) Oh and by the way, Narnia was good. And the farewell party was good too.

Look how drench and happy we look. I love my class, you awesome bunch of people. You guys create havoc and raise hell in school but study like ants outside. Cute(?) aey. FYI i'm pretty much like them too, even if i wasn't, i've grown into it. Love.

Hows March holidays? It totally reminds me of school. And i'm definitely glad i didn't take H2 econs, i feel terribly sadistic while watching them slog their bloody guts and stomach out doing it. But maybe not Nathalie Joyce Kesaven and Michael though. I went over to K7's house and man they suck. I ended up watching funny soccer goals on Youtube with K7 and Mike. I am feeling so talkative right now i can go on about how many stars you can count tonight from my house (5). Oh and it shouldnt be raining nowadays as well but sadly it is. Its quite annoying how the water splashes all over your feet as you walk across town (in a pair of shorts and slippers kind of way). Isn't the rainy season over? Hello, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAF. Hope you like the surprise we all gave you. Just now after dinner, 26 of us went down to Arab St. TWENTY-SIX. What are the odds of getting a good place right.

Then these two guys came out of the cafe(ish) carrying an awesomely huge rug/carpet(whatever). Cool right! So it somehow managed to fit the 26 of us with a little cramming here and sitting out of the rug there and all. I had fun and i really missed all of you guys. Will be seeing more of you soon.

You wanted to know what i worked as today right? I don't feel like talking to you. So let me tell you this. I worked at Ritz Carlton during the afternoon before moving to Fullerton at night. There was a panelists' talk thing at Ritz, i did nothing much. At Fullerton during the fashion show, i was supposed to be the dresser for the models. Thats what the tag said but i ended up being the photographer's assistant. I had my meals at the buffets for both hotels and Lynn was with me. Want to know more? I just realised how much fun i had missed out. Like marisse and bryan and everyone. Its not exactly true that i'm not having a remarkably enjoyable time. There is this 'big' movie called Cloverfield thats going to come out soon. Its side-splittingly funny because the name doesn't go with the movie. This show is meant to be somewhat as if someone found a Handicam, took out the tape and put it in a player to watch it. Cloverfield is supposedly a home video turned something else. And its about a big monster attacking Newyork. The video was edited to have all those jump cuts found in home movies when they can just use a sony cam. Sorry i just had to comment on that to stop myself from going eukaryotic or normative-ish. Sigh i fell asleep for every tutorial and lecture but math.

So my week goes like this. I dipped my hair into a bucket of water, slid across the field on my put, rolled over mud, placed my hand in soap water with seeds and fruits (gross) and looked like a monkey dancing the mass dance. It was fun and dreadful.

I've got rashes from the mud and detergent (whichever one it is) and i've also got a bad throat and nasty cough and a period. I also barbecued really good marshmallows and told everyone the brown part tasted like caramel.

I had fun.

Happy new year even though i'm a little late. Orientation for the past 3 days has been really draining. Even though i went out more often during the holidays i have neveer felt this tiiireeeed. Last night my legs were about to crash and i was still having dinner in town. It felt really bad. Now i have rashes from rolling about in mud. It feels extremmllyyy bad.

Honestly, despite all these complaints, orientation was fun. It has to be fun, its Cj right? If you're asking about pretty girls, okaaay only laa. You could come and crash if you want. Yes weiwen, orientation is good so far.

Now weekends! I'm going to stay home and watch movies and use the computer. I'm not going to hang out. I will die from exhaustion. Reminder: Buy mini marshmallows and satay sticks for bbq
